Before your first sailing, here are a few things you should know:
🗓️ Itineraries can change. Weather, port logistics, or other factors may shuffle your plans. Flexibility is part of the cruise experience.
✨ Cabin location matters. Mid-ship vs. forward vs. aft can affect everything from motion to convenience.
⚠️ Shore excursions fill up. The best experiences aren’t always available last-minute… but don’t overlook the joys of staying onboard, either!
🚨 Cruise lines (and ships) are not all the same. Just like hotels and resorts differ in inclusions, vibe, and personality, cruise lines and ships do too. Matching you with the right vessel is a key part of a travel advisor’s role.

Common Cruise Questions
📌 “What if I get seasick?”: Modern ships have stabilizers, plus plenty of remedies (both natural and medical). The reality? Most guests barely notice movement. If you’re prone to motion sickness, a larger ship, a calmer route, and a prescription from your doctor can help!
📌 “What if I miss the ship?”: Don’t be the travelers sprinting down the dock as the ship pulls away! Stay on ship time, always. Booking excursions through the cruise line or our shore excursion partner helps, but the real secret is being punctual and aware.
📌 “Will I be bored on sea days?”: Between pools, shows, classes, dining, and entertainment, there’s more than enough to keep you busy — or relaxed, if that’s more your style.
📌 “Do I have to dress up every night?”: Some evenings may be formal, but it varies by cruise line. Pack a versatile outfit or two, and you’ll be ready without overthinking it. Very few cruise lines are “formal” these days.
📌 “Will I feel lost onboard?”: Cruise ships are surprisingly easy to navigate, even the larger ones, with maps, apps, and crew happy to help. After a day or two, you’ll feel right at home.
