Happy Spring, friend!
In Southern California, it almost feels like summer, doesn't it? We had more than a week of temps in the 80's! In fact, the Super Bowl was played in the hottest temps on record - go Rams! (Bob was especially happy that the Rams won, too!) Even the birds are confused by the weather. At least, this is what Bob says since the geese left earlier than usual and birds are singing and gathering nesting materials! The weather has been perfect for beach volleyball and birding, and February was chock full of both.
Valentine's Day was perfect, and super fun because 11 years ago was our first date. That's right, on Valentine's Day! We had become really good friends for several months, and then Bob invited me for dinner at his place. He wanted to cook for me. Now, Bob makes the same dinner he made on our first date every year on Valentine's Day (at my request)... Spicy Shrimp and Fish Coconut Curry over rice. Yum! Here's the recipe, in case you feel so inclined to try this yourself.
We also went on our Caribbean cruise on Rotterdam, our first Holland America cruise! We visited Half Moon Cay, Aruba and Curacao. I have to say we were super pleased with this ship, the crew, the music, and the food! We would definitely recommend Holland America and will consider them in the future, for sure. Look for a blog coming soon with more details but for now we'll say we were very happy all week and had a wonderful cruise.
I just booked a fun Norwegian cruise on Norwegian Joy to Bermuda. This one is special because it's for me and my three sisters, out of NY. I'm super excited for this "girl's trip" with my sisters. I have not been to Bermuda, so that will be new for me. I've been on Joy and love this ship, so I'm excited to have connecting balcony cabins for us.
We're also booking a lot of Europe, Caribbean, and Alaska right now.
We leave for our Chile Birding Adventure this month and we couldn't be more excited. We have a fun group of birders on this one, with a few surprises built in.
Our exclusive Luxury Wine Cruise in February 2023 is waitlisted, so let us know if you of anyone who would like to be added. I'm guessing we may get a couple more cabins in July or August.

Other than some short weekend trips, and my in-laws visiting, we are settled in for the month of April. Clients are ready to travel and I’m geared up to design, plan, and book some wonderful trips. Then I'm off to Tucson in early May for GTM West!
Now is the time to get a REAL ID, if you don't have it yet!
We've seen the deadline for this get pushed back a couple of times due to the pandemic. Starting May 3, 2023, you will need a REAL ID, valid passport, or other federally approved form of ID to travel by plane within the US or to access federal facilities and military bases.
The process is easy, and you can start online by completing the online application and uploading your documents at the California DMV website.
If you do not get a REAL ID, your CA driver's license or identification card will display the phrase "Federal Limits Apply." Your REAL ID will display a California bear with a star.
